Convoy Logistics Providers was contracted to arrange for local site services in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and provide door to door transportation- and shipping services for a used Methanol plant to West Virginia covering in excess of 6000 cbm and 81 x 40’ shipper owned containers. The largest cargo units were exchangers, reactors and a cold box each between 50-86 tons as well as a 1600 cbm heater-reformer unit dismantled into smaller shipping units.
Convoy Logistics worked closely with the USA based client to receive and record the over 16,000 bar coded items, provide site management services in Brazil and oversight of the subcontracted export packaging, export- and import customs clearance services, 2 vessel part charters and local road delivery to final site in the USA.
Convoy Logistics Providers is specialized in the niche market of plant relocations. Amongst other projects it moved a used 100,000 cbm oil refinery and several other plants from Canada and the USA to world wide overseas destinations.
